Filmmaking Camp
Ages 10-15
Date: July 6 - July 10
Please note the tuition fee reflects the cost for a single camp enrollment.
In this hands-on camp, campers will explore the world of cinema from start to finish, running their own mini film sets and learning how movies are made.
Participants will dive into pre-production, including brainstorming ideas, creating storyboards, and planning scenes. During production, they’ll get hands-on experience with cameras, lighting, and directing, learning how to bring their stories to life on set. Finally, in post-production, campers will explore editing techniques, adding music, and refining their projects to create a polished final film.
What they’ll learn:
• The basics of filmmaking, from concept to final edit
• Storyboarding, scene planning, and directing
• Camera operation, lighting, and sound
• Editing techniques to create a finished film
• Collaboration, problem-solving, and creative storytelling
By the end of the camp, every camper will have completed their own short film, gaining confidence, creativity, and hands-on filmmaking skills they can proudly share.
Tech Requirements: Campers will need to bring a laptop and a mobile phone with camera for the duration of the camp. No special software or applications are required—just the ability to connect to Wi-Fi. Please make sure the device is fully charged each day.
