This course is designed to support healthcare professionals in delivering effective critical care in rural and remote settings. Participants will explore how to assess and stabilize critically ill patients while navigating the challenges of limited resources, geographic isolation, and minimal staffing. Emphasis is placed on clinical decision-making, interprofessional collaboration, and the use of virtual health technologies. The course also integrates culturally safe practices to ensure respectful and responsive care for diverse rural populations, including Indigenous communities. Through scenario-based learning and practical strategies, learners will build confidence in managing emergencies and improving outcomes in rural critical care environments.
